Fall Recreational Soccer – Jensen Beach and Palm City programs
Players will be grouped by year of birth in two-year age increments, gender specific as numbers allow. Players will be placed on teams which will compete in the Treasure Coast Soccer League (TCSL) against other local Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) affiliated soccer clubs. League play is scheduled to begin on the 17th September and runs through until the weekend of 19th/20th of November. After this scheduled last week of the fall league season (Nov 19/20), the TCSL hosts a soccer tournament “TCSL World Cup” for recreational soccer players at local parks in Martin County. The tournament is scheduled to be held on December 10th/11th 2022.
We host programs at two locations here in Martin County for recreational soccer. One is in Jensen Beach and the other is in Palm City. Both of these programs are easily accessible for Stuart residents as well as Jensen Beach and Palm City residents. The cost of this years program is $150 for U4 thru U8 players and $195 for U9 thru U18 players.
Program Description – 12u and younger
The 9u thru 12u (birth years 2011-2014) age groups training format emphasizes enhanced skills development. The focus of practice is the development of individual fundamental soccer skills, including passing, dribbling, receiving the ball, and moving without the ball. Games provide players with an opportunity to use the skills they have acquired, without placing importance on the results of the game. Players must be allowed to make mistakes, without being chastised, so they can learn from mistakes.
Per US Youth Soccer mandates, all FYSA affiliated clubs are not permitted to allow heading at the 12u age group and younger in recreational soccer. Players born in the year of 2011 or later (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, etc.) are mandated by US Youth Soccer not to head the ball in at all in FYSA training events or league games facilitated by Martin United and the Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA).
Program Description – 13u and older
The 13u thru 18u (birth years 2005-2010) age groups are organized for traditional team play. Practices are geared toward all skill levels, and games are played in the spirit of fun and healthy competition. The league may play 7v7 or 9v9 to promote players to have more touches of the ball in a game environment. The league may play full sided, 11v11. Ultimately, the number of players per side will be determined by the number of players and teams registered. Heading is allowed in these age groups.

Register now at: https://system.gotsport.com/programs/28866W848?reg_role=player
Martin United’s Spring Soccer Program is the final step of our annual recreational player development program. This Spring Program follows our Fall League and Winter Academy recreational soccer programs to help develop players further for either the next recreational season in the fall of 2022 or the competitive player tryouts that will be held at the middle/end of May 2022. This competitive tryout will be offering positions to players born in 2014 thru 2007 on competitive teams for the 2022-23 program season.
Martin United believes that putting one’s best educators at grass roots level develops players quickly to mold the right habits and correct technique.
Martin United’s Spring Program focuses on raising the technical skill level of each player, and will be taken by USSF B & C National license certified trainers. This season will focus on “the player”, from 7u thru 15u, to continue the development of their basic soccer fundamentals (skills & technique). The player placement for training will be based upon each player’s current level of ability, as well as the player’s age group. Players can and may be mixed, even by gender, if ages allow, for training and small sided games.
The Spring Program will run for
6 weeks for all other age groups. The first session will be Monday, April 11th 2022. The last session will be Monday, May 16th 2022. Monday night sessions will be at Charlie Leighton Park in Palm City (CLP).
Each week the structure of the sessions will be following USYS and FYSA guidelines known as ‘Play, Practice, Play”. Participant players will immediately play in small sided games for a period of time, Then the lead coach will introduce the learning element of the session “practice”, once “the show” has been understood and executed several times without an opponent, the coach will restart the game to see if the players can now execute the new habit or technique into the game (with opponent).
