OUR HISTORY
Not long ago, the place for soccer on the Treasure Coast was with the Stuart Breakers. The Stuart Youth Soccer Club that represented Stuart, Palm City, and surrounding neighborhoods was, by far, the largest around. Now, thanks to a group of committed volunteers, soccer in Stuart has a new home, new direction, and new identity as the Martin United Soccer Club (MUSC).
Created in late 2013 and kicking off in the fall of 2014, Martin United Soccer Club serves the communities that once supported Stuart Youth Soccer Club, while building fresh partnerships across the county to bring the sport of soccer to families in the area at affordable prices. We service Stuart, Port Salerno, Sewall’s Point,
MUSC provides a community-focused, family-friendly soccer program that delivers technical, tactical, and positional awareness for recreational and competitive players. We would like to bring soccer opportunities to all youth within our communities here in Martin County.
MUSC also featured a FYSA TOPS Soccer program from 2015 thru 2016, a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. The program was designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, who has a mental or physical disability. It is the clubs intent to start this program again when we can find the right leadership.
In April 2016, the Board of Directors unanimously voted that MUSC start a competitive program to service the growth of not only our players development but the success of our outreach into the community. We were proud to announce the Martin United Soccer Club competitive travel program opportunity to our members.
In the 2018/19 season we plan to launch our on line learning opportunity for Martin United players. More exciting developments to be announced soon.
