Bernardo “Bernie” Quintero goal is to share his experience and knowledge in soccer with young athletes that want to play and grow with the sport. Bernie strongly believes that the challenges that we face in the soccer field link directly to our growth as people that will become part of a society. He also strongly believes players that are coachable do well in many other activities and later become great leaders in our society.
Bernie has played the sport for almost 30 years as a Goalkeeper at different levels, High
School, college, semi-pro level in NYC. I moved to Florida in 1988 and played in local teams in
the area. In 1995 I was asked to coach a team by one of the local clubs and started a new
journey, the fact that one played the game does not qualify him as a coach, teaching the game
and playing the game are separate skills. I was a player and honestly did not want to be a coach.
I started a new phase in my life to learn how to teach at that point. I love it!
